Another Sims 3 Stuff from a Newbie

So, ok I see Admins are tired of people that can't download Sims 3 and they want the best for you so they post everywhere that you need to read the Sims 3 Ultimate Guide. I did read it but I don't think my problem is the same as that so yeah if its the same thing link it back I will do it immidiately! Yes I am kinda a PC noob lol...

I already had Sims 3 Base Game Original one, you know the CD and all. But I decided to download Sims 3 Generations. I back upped my all stuff so don't worry ahah. Anyways after the installation it was all good etc. I put the crack it gave me to Program Files(86 smth)/Sims 3/Bin you know where we are supposed to put. And yes to replace it but when I try to open the game from the launcher it acts like it is starting up the game. Then it says Sims 3 stopped working and closes it. (it never gets into game or to Maxis etc. stuff, never got further than the desktop lol) I dunno what to do. If you want me to try the Sims 3 Ultimate Guide thing I have Pets as CD but animals all around got kinda annoying so deleted it lol. Well I wasn't expecting my torrent download to be successful cuz it never is ._.'
Currently i uninstalled Generations for a fresh start for your guidance. But lol i still have the install folders so its ok. PC noob but not that much thankfully.

EDIT: Forgot to say, Sims 3 works perfectly fine without Generations. Kinda laggy sometimes but I blame my PC

Oh it works now! Thank you so much! I have tried 2 more cracks before this so I was losing hope but thanks to you it works.

So one last question. Seems like my PC can take 1 Expansion Pack at a time, since I had to pull down my Graphics for it to be smooth. Even though Generations is really cool with Teens and Kinds having almost Adult level active life (which they deserved to have from the start), I find Seasons really cool too. Which one would you choose, Generations or Season?

It works just fine with a boosterI installed even with both of the expansion packs. Thanks alot, I'm learning tons of stuff at this site!
