Endless saving

Endless saving
I have the base sims 3 game and ALL the expansion packs + all the stuff apcks. I have also downloaded most of the store content on your downloads website and have a lot of custom content as well. I have checked for any corrupted custom content package files, and all files seem to be safe. This problem only happened a day or two after I installed the store content and moved my sims into a new house.
I have recently moved my sims into a new house and when I decorate one room (using some store content) and then try to save the game, it keeps saving. I have left the game to save for over 5 hours, and it still was saving by the time I woke up.
To fix this problem, I have reinstalled the whole game and installed it WITH all the expansion packs and stuff packs. I have also installed and applied the latest store fix CORRECTLY from your downloads website. I have restarted my computer as well. I have also read the recent forum posts to see if anything like this has happened before. While I can see that it has, unfortunately I cannot find a solution even after searching for hours on the web.
Until now, I have had no major problems with the game.
//EDIT
I am playing in storybrook county btw.

Re: Endless saving
Hi there,
Could you please tell me what kind of graphics card your desktop/laptop has?
As a quick, possible fix, please try disabling your anti-virus first before attempting to play your game. Test this, to see if you can then save without it becoming an infinite loop.
Thanks!

Hi,
No problem!
Do you have the infinite save issue with other saved games/families? Have you tried moving all CC and mods to your desktop (or where-ever is convenient) and then running your game and testing the save file once more? <-- If you do this, please remember to make a back-up of your save data so that when you go to save, you do not permanently overwrite anything.

Re: Endless saving
I have tried creating a new game with the same household, but the problem still persists. I think it is to do with the store content?
My gamne saves fine if I don't use any store content in it, but when I place a shoe rack or something from the store (which I downloaded from you), it doesn't save.

Re: Endless saving
Hi,
I'm sorry. =( I know what it's like to be super confused and frustrated as to why it's not working.
It might be that the store content from us is conflicting with something you have downloaded - be it a mod or some other CC. Have you tried running your game with JUST the store content and nothing more? Or doing piece by piece (this could take a bit) to perhaps see if there's one store content that's "bad"? <-- If you do this method, you'll probably hit gold eventually. Worse case scenario, you just re-download the piece of store content to see if that fixes it.
Other than this, because you have traced the issue down to the store content itself, I'm not really sure what else I can tell you in regards to fixing it. If you have applied the updated Store Fix correctly, chances are something is breaking your game within your CC/mods.

Re: Endless saving
Just to be sure. Please remember to install the store fix. Sometimes I can't get anything to work if I forget to update and use store items.

Hello,
Does that mean you also removed all of the store fix files ? If you didn't notice yet, feel free to check out this thread here, which I opened some time ago:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t17462-possible-issues-with-store-fixes-closed
The most interesting part of the thread is from page 2 onwards. This "endless saving glitch" was very common with the previous version of G4TW's store fix compilation. However, with the latest fixes, here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t17553-the-sims-3-store-fixes-updated-download-link
This shouldn't happen anymore. As stated in the included instructions, prior to applying these latest fixes, you MUST remove all old store fix files, from whatever source you got them from, to avoid any possible conflicts. Assuming you REALLY applied the files correctly, there aren't really many other realistic explanations.
If you did apply the files correctly, can you tell us what mod(s) you removed then to make it work ?
