Sims 3 help needing conformation code?

So i downloaded the sims 3 about 2 months ago. and i havnt been home till now i wanted to play it. and when i hit the icon then hit the play button it takes me to a EA thing saying please reenter your code on the back of the mauiel. (sp?) i have no idea what to do.. please help and this is the only sims game i got. no expansion or anything. just the sims 3

You should be able to find the code that it's asking at the Installation Guide you got when you downloaded the torrent. Please check if you can find it in there.

Also, did you follow these instructions on how to install The Sims 3 properly?

If you did, please re-do the Steps 2-4 from the link, re-downloading and re-applying both the Manual Patch and the Ultimate Fix.
And don't forget that you need at least one of the expansions from the Step 1 for the game to work properly. So, you need to download one of the expansions mentioned in it for the game to work.
