hi im a newb at this. i have downloaded the sims 3 pets but when i install it keeps asking for the 20 digit alpha-numerical code... how do i install without it? and can this be repeated for other sims3 downloads?
plz help... i found the instructions and video incomprehensible.... (step by step instructions would be awesome if possible....)

Hi there, did you read the "#Installation Guide.txt"?
All the codes are included in the Installation Guide for each EP.

You need the codes for all installation, you can't skip that step..

oh bother... now its asking for disc 1 for the Support/readme/en/en_eula.rtf file... what do i do now?
@carlos - i use the evaluation version of winzip as i cant afford to buy it, and i also use the one click unzip button to make sure all files are unzipped, and it goes through utorrent 3.4.2, would any of that make a difference?

Hello K1T73N,

You probably did not extract the contents of the .RAR download properly. Please make a NEW folder somewhere; you may even name it "The Sims 3 - Pets" or something like that.

Then you open the .RAR of the Pets download with the program WinRAR (!). Now, you need to extract ALL contents of that .RAR, into the empty folder you just created. This is very important. Make sure that you really extract ALL contents of the .RAR into that folder.

After that is done, close the WinRAR window, and go to the folder. There, re-start the installation by double-clicking on the autorun.exe file. Good luck !

On that page, look for WinRAR 4.20 (you can also open the search function there by pressing CTRL + F. In the small search window, type WinRAR. All search results will be highlighted in color then). Install instructions are included. Good luck again !

thx... that worked.. but game wont load.. do i use the ultimate fix thing after im done downloading/installing games or before? and are there any instructions that go with it?

Hi there!

You should use the Ultimate Fix after you are done installing all of the Expansion Packs, to be sure. What you need to do is to copy the files inside the #Crack folder (only from this folder) to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin, and select "Copy and replace" when you get the pop-up.
Or, if your base game is from Origin, you should copy them to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin, and do the same thing.

Hi,

What I'd suggest doing first is running the Manual Patch before attempting to install WA. Once you have run the manual patch, please then attempt to install WA. If this works, after WA is installed, apply the Ultimate Fix once more (you need to always re-apply the Ultimate Fix after installing any expansion pack).

It's the update to the latest version of the game, and you can find it in here:

You just need to download it and run it. It will patch your game to 1.67.

yeah, the "cant connect to origin" message from launcher, thx will ignore it... oh, and the midnight hollow says to update before trying to install, but my game is fully updated... what do i do?

If you have the game already updated, then you don#t have to re-update again. Wink

Just install any world you like then, with your launcher.

Did you install it by double clicking on the Sims3Pack, or did you put it in the Downloads folder and installed it through the Launcher? If you did the first try doing it with the Launcher. Also, make sure that the world appears in the "Installed Content" tab of the Launcher.
