Assistance With the Sims 3...[SOLVED]

Hello! I'm new to the forums. Assistance With the Sims 3...[SOLVED] 1577371209

I downloaded your Sims 3 Base Game, Late Night Expansion Pack, Town and Life Stuff Pack, and Ultimate Fix. So my Issue is that when I tried to install LE / T&L for the Ultimate Fix and Sims 3 it required me to update to latest version of the Sims 3 Base Game which I suppose is 1.24. So Should I or Should I not? I noticed that your Version of the Sims 3 is the 1.17 one. I have the ultimate fix, so should I apply the Ultimate Fix to TS3 since I need to download 1.24 to install Late Night and Town and Life Stuff.

Well feel free to ask me any questions. I'll check back here every 20 minutes. I just want to play ths Sims 3 with CC and Late Night. BTW Does know where to download the resource.cfg file and where to put it with the "Mods" folder? Thanks...

If you follow guide given on ultimate fix, indirectly you'll have the latest version of Base game and all other expansion. If you read properly, we only apply crack file after we update our game. So, I suggest you to just follow the guide given in the ultimate fix.

I've no Idea about "Mods", but too many user give feedback that their game facing crash after apply "Mods".

Ok So When I applied the Ultimate Fix to the Base Game, I refreshed after puting the 2 files into the "Bin" folder. But I did'nt get anything, so I updated to 1.24 manually and It then let me download Late Night and Town & Life Stuff. I havent Applied any cracks for any of the games, nor did i attempt to run them. I didn't download the EA Manager. So Do I now apply the ultimate fix folders or did I do an error?

I have all original Rar. files just in case I screwed up. I'm confused here Lol. Do oyu guys have a some video tutorial or photosnapshot tutorial? That will be helpful for.. I never thought I'd say this, but for the Noobs like me. pale

Now when I open the Launcher, it shows I have Version 9.0.73.012001 and that I have installed Town and Life Stuff/ Late Night.

Hello,
That sounds as if you've properly installed and updated the game, now you can apply the crack to the specified folder and your game should work.

You can download the resource file on several locations. In fact, here's mine.
To use it, go to C:\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. Inside that folder, create a new folder and call it Mods. Place the resource file inside that folder. You also need to create a folder within your new Mods folder. Call it Packages. Whenever you download a mod, put the package file inside your Packages folder. Start your game and your mod should work in game.

I know many people are reporting problems with mods. That's why you introduce these kind of files slowly, one at a time. If its giving you problems, remove it. I'm using a few user created mods myself and they have never given me any problems at all. One piece of advice I can give you is to make sure the mods you use are up to date, meaning they should be compatible with your patch level, and to make sure you have all the required expansionpacks to run the mod, if any.

(The Game) I'm about to do the mod thing. Is it alright to have 123 mb full of mods. BTW Do i put the Package files there? If i do then Can I install Sims3Packs with the Launcher? I just want to play in style. Laughing

Glad to hear that your games work. For your "Mods" I suggest you to put Mod one by one. If you found any error, just remove the Mods give you the error. That's why you need to apply mods one by one. If you apply all the Mods in same time. You'll face tough to troubleshoot which "Mods" pack cause the problem.

Ok try this.
Sims3pack files are installed with the launcher. Package files are put in the folder I described before. User created content will usually be a package file while official store content are sims3pack files and installed through the launcher.

ok thanks because I download my content from The Sims Resource so their content is usually downloadable as Sims3Packs. Still gives me the error for your resource.cfg file. Don't worry I'll find one online. Thanks for the help by the way.

I think I ran into another problem with the Custom Content. I installed It with the launcher since they were Sims3Pack. Files So When I open up sims I dont seem to find the custom clothes I downloaded.
