Black screen on start-up but i can still hear sounds [SOLVED]

Hi i just downloaded sims 4 off your site last night and i just installed it today and i was looking forward to it but when i launch it i just get a black screen with sounds? i had the same problem with alien isolation and left for dead 2 and the problem is it being in full screen because i am playing on a television that is hooked up to my pc through a VGA cable so for some reason games don't work properly in full screen so i was wondering how to turn it into windowed so i can play it (since that's what fixed the other games i played) ? the only way i have been able to find is through origins but i downloaded it through your site not the origin one

If you go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4, you should see a file called Options.ini in there. Open it with Notepad, and then look for a line that says "fullscreen = 1". Change this 1 to 0 and the game should start up in Windowed Mode.
