Black screen on start up

Hi, 

I recently installed the newest expansion pack (cities) which led to a black screen on start up. I can hear the music playing on the background but nothing else. I've tried the latest ultimate fix but still a no go. I've installed everything else at the right order and had no problems starting the game before the new expansion pack. 

Any advice would be great thanks!
