Re: sims 4 initialization error
Hi there, and welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
It would help us a lot if you have us more details about the error. Is it the "rdl.dll failed to initialize" error, or the "Unable to start" one?
Have you tried changing the language of the game after the installation? If you have, please check this post here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t18073-unable-to-start-initialization-error-at-start-up-possible-fix-1
We look forward to hearing from you.

I see. Just a little question. Do you have Origin installed? Or have you ever had it installed in that PC?
Sorry, but we're still trying to figure out the cause of this error, if it's not related to the language change. Supposedly this crack shouldn't need Origin, but we're still yet to see what exactly this is about.

Yes, un-install Origin, re-boot the computer and then re-install Origin.
After that, open Origin, and leave it open. Start the game then and see if it works. Good luck !

Re: sims 4 initialization error
I had this problem. I messed about with Origin as advised, but it made no difference. The only way I got rid of the error and actually got to play the game, was to let my firewall allow it to connect to the internet.
Or - as I really don't want it to connect - allow my firewall to let it through but disconnect my computer from the internet. It seems that, so long as you don't try to block it, it doesn't mind whether it gets online or not.
But it's a serious pain to have to go offline while playing. Sometimes you want to look something up to do with the game while you're still playing it.
Any workaround gratefully appreciated. But great job getting it working as it is. You guys rock.

Thanks for letting us know! It'll be really helpful for us in the future.
If I may ask, why are you so keen on blocking the game from connecting to the internet? As far as I've seen, there aren't any repercussions on doing that, provided that you don't connect to your valuable Origin account (we don't know what could happen doing that). And you can even connect to the Gallery. See my post here:

I'd like to understand your thoughts on that.

Tbh, I assumed that, as with most software you torrent, that staying off the internet was accepted as 'the thing to do'.
I take it from your comment that with the Sims 4 it's quite okay...?
In which case, it seems I have no problem, then. Cheers. (And thanks for the link.)

Normally, yes, it should be kept disconnected. But apparently The Sims 4 doesn't have any problems (and gives this strange error if you block it in the firewall).
So yes, you can connect freely to the Gallery (at least for the moment).
