Sims 4 download files

Hi, I'm new to this site so I apologise in advance if I don't sound much of a computer wiz. I'm having problems installing Sims 4, I downloaded off your site it using Vuse and it downloaded fine, I went to open it and it has now changed the file to Adobe Reader and says it doesn't support the file. I'm not sure how to change it back, or where to go from here. Please help.

Hello Rosie and welcome,

If you download games/software from G4TW, they will be in the .RAR file format. You MUST open those files with the program WinRAR. Get it here (look for WinRAR 4.20), and install instructions are included:

After you installed WinRAR, make an empty folder somewhere on your C: drive. Then right-click on your download and select "open with....WinRAR". After that, mark ALL contents inside the .RAR with your mouse, as if you were marking a text with the mouse.

Then, you simply drag + drop the marked contents into the empty folder on the C: drive you just created. After that, close WinRAR and start the installation of Sims 4 by double-clicking on the setup.exe; but install instructions are included anyway.
