So a few weeks ago a friend of mine downloads sims 4 for me with all the DLC except Laundry day and installs it. They told me that they would install laundry day for me later, but we had a bit of a disagreement and are no longer friends...

2 days ago, I try to get Laundry Day on my own, but i didn't know what i was doing with the install and didn't realize that i needed to overlap the existing files with those that are in the download (as the how to file on here just says download.. so i kept looking for a download application and didn't see one).

When i didn't upgrade it correctly, obviously my game corrupted. I tried reverting to a previous version of my computer before it was corrupted and it told me that my hard drive was corrupted, so i did a soft reset of my computer (the thing where it uninstalls everything but leaves your files).

At this point i had given up on keeping the file that I originally had, so i taught myself how to torrent, and downloaded all the files from here. After 2 tries, i finally get it downloaded.

And... it won't work properly. 3 main issues occur :

  1.  I can only run the 32-bit version...
  2.  the 64 bit version gives me a "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR120.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem"
  3. None of my CC, Saves, or Tray items work. I try to open it with them and it crashes right as it gets to the Sims 4 screen.

I don't know what to do...

Hello and welcome to the Forum @Natalie,

First off, did you install all the way up to the latest update for The Sims 4, which currently is version 1.39? Or did you stop with one of the earlier DLCs...? Secondly, about that MSVCR120.dll...see if you downloaded and installed all available Windows updates. I also suspect that - alternatively - you can also check out the possible solution here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t20398-the-procedure-entry-point-____-could-not-be-located-msvcp120-dll-is-missing

Not exactly about the same issue, but similar.

Good luck for now, and do keep us posted!

I tip my fedora.
