Installation, can't find files [EDIT]

Hey, just wanna say thank you for all you do here. Hopefully you can help me.

Okay, so I mounted the iso disc files. I started installation on the startdisk. But, after a bit in the installation, it asks me to "find disc 1 that contains the file Caches/SunsetValley.objectCache."

I've looked, and I have no idea where this file even is. I have the folder where I extracted everything from the first download (getting the files from the torrent). I've apparently only mounted the startdisc, but disc1 won't mount and I'm at a loss here. I've looked in the files and there is no Caches file.

Any guidance would be much appreciated, I've been trying to play this game for days.

*BONUS QUESTION, PROBABLY DUMB* Are the expansions installed like this or are the files just there?

About the expansion packs, they are installed differently. You just need to extract the RAR file and double click the Autorun inside, and follow this guide here:

Oh actually I got another problem xD oops.

I'm currently installing Generations and it says that the keygen from the serial generator is invalid. How can I fix this?

Sorry, but did you get Generations from here? Our release doesn't have a serial generator, the codes are written in the Installation Guide inside. Using one of those should be just fine.

Or did you get the expansion packs from somewhere else?

I got them from here. Should I delete the files and reinstall, maybe? It asked if it could update at the beginning of the Generations install, I said yes. Maybe that's why?

*EDIT* All of them ask for serials.

*DOUBLE EDIT* I didn't read your message thoroughly enough to see what you said about the installation guide, I'll give that a try.

If it asks for an update before an install, then apply the Manual Patch first at the Step 2 of this guide:

Then, continue with the installation of the expansion packs. And yes, it's normal that they ask for serials, you should get those from the # Installation Guide inside of each of the EP's folder. The rest of the guide inside can be ignored. Just do this: extract the RAR file with WinRAR to an empty folder, double click the Autorun, and when it asks for a serial enter one from the list inside the "# Installation Guide." Then, continue with the next expansion pack.

Alright, I'm so close. I've gotten to the updater, ready to play the game. I followed the fix installation exactly as it was said and the game is up to date. Everything is here. But, I get a disc authentication error. It says I need a disc to play. How can I fix this?

*EDIT* It's with one of the expansion packs. It says I need to put in the disc for it before I can play.

OK, now go to the #Crack folder in the Ultimate Fix (only this folder, ignore the rest of them). Copy the two files inside of it, and paste them to Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Make sure to select "Copy and Replace" when prompted. This should fix your issue.

Out of interest, what EPs did you install?

I installed the Generations, Pets, 70s/80s/90s, Seasons, and Ambitions.

It says the authentication error for 70s, 80s, 90s.

So, you already tried what I said in the last post? Re-applying the Manual Patch first wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I'm completely up to date. I did that right after I got the error, just to make sure. Doing the crack now.
