Time is too slow

So I keep searching for a way to fix this problem, and I seem to keep getting no where.
I've deleted all the data, and re-installed the game, restarted my pc a couple of times. Still my Sims3 Base game still has this problem where normal time is a little slow and ultra fast is really slow (it runs as if the ultrafast where the fast forward option). Fast forward doesnt seem to go any faster. Can anybody please help me?? I would be super thankfull ! lol Shocked

I'm not sure I understood your issue...do you mean the game is lagging ? If so, check out this thread here:

And is your computer strong enough for the game ? You can also try improving overall system performance with the tool "GameBooster", see this guide here:

And do you notice similar issues with other games too ? Or only with Sims 3 ?

No, only game I play is the sims, the system can handle it, this didnt happen to me when I downloaded TS3 from this site a few years ago, I formatted my harddrives, and I had to re-install TS3 and now the time speed is off. I just don't understand what the difference is from now and back then..

Can you make sure to defragment your hard-drive, if you haven't done so yet ? And then go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and delete all the following stuff:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

Re-start the game then and see if anything improved. Good luck again !
