Mass Effect - Insert Game disc. [SOLVED]

Thanks so much for your site!!
I had ME working 2 days ago (almost finished, even), but had to uninstall and reinstall my bootcamp partition. I reinstalled ME and the Map Fix without a problem, but when I go to start the game (from binaries) and I get a message that there is no game disc inserted. I tried running it as Admin and get the same error. I tried updating to the latest version and installing the latest fix and I get an EA message that I need to re-enter my registration code, which I do and it doesn't work.
I've uninstalled and restarted my computer and reinstalled about 5 times now with no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

It shouldn't ask for a disc. Since it does, please download a NoCD crack from here: http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_mass_effect.shtml
Download the one called "Mass Effect Fixed EXE @ GameFix".
Drag @ drop the downloaded .exe file to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mass Effect\Binaries and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the file already exists.

See if it works now. Good luck!

Tried to install that patch and the game just kept crashing.
I have reinstalled again, now it isnt asking for a disc but I keep getting an error about an "Exeption Processin Message" followed by an error stating that the game "failed to compile global shader FDOFandBloomGatherFallbackPixelShader". Its odd because it was working perfectly before I reinstalled my bootcamp partition.

That .exe file you downloaded is not a patch, it's a crack, which has to be placed in a specific folder, as I stated in my previous message. So don't download it and just click it, because that isn't going to work.

Sorry, I didn't explain properly. I did install the patch as you said, but it didn't work. After a bit of hunting I worked out that my video card drivers hadn't installed properly after re-installing bootcamp. I installed them manually and hey presto the game is now working.
