- Step 10 of the Ultimate fix: open the "All expansion packs released after and including Generations" folder in this .rar file and drag & drop both files in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
- When I launch the game it asks me if I want to update then freezes
One time I opted not to update and did the manual update instead. Then:
- Open the "# Crack" folder in this .rar file (Ultimate Fix). Drag & drop the .dll and .exe file you’ll see in there to exactly: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
- I try to start the game and it tells me the game disk is not inserted.

Hello,
Welcome to Games4theworld.
Let's see.. Which steps did you take last? Was it the manual patch? Take a look at your game launcher and, hovering your mouse pointer over the "base game" icon, check that your game is version 1.67.xx.
If it's not, please reapply the manual patch.
If it is, please open the (latest) fix and the crack folder. As long as you installed the game to the default location, the above path is the correct one. If you installed elsewhere, that could be why this isn't working.
