Sims 4 Ultimate fix and Get to work Question.

Here is my problem: I bought legit copies of the Sims 4, Outdoor Retreat, and Get to Work. When I installed the base game, it installed. But the updates that include dlc won't download from origin(I think it's due to my internet speed being too low). My first question is does Get to work update include all the dlc from the updates? Second, if it doesn't, do I install the ultimate fix and then Get to work? Third question is if it does work, how do I get Outdoor Retreat?

Yes, it does include every official released patch which has been released so far ( as far as i know) and every DLC is also included. You dont have to install the ultimate fix at all if you have downloaded Get to work because it contains every patch and dlc released so far.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

If you have a legit Sims 4 base game, Outdoor Retreat and "Get to Work"-expansion too, I actually don't recommend you use our Ultimate fix. In the meantime, open your Origin library, and hover with your mouse over the Sims 4. You should soon see a button that looks like an "i". CLick on that button.

Now, if you click on "Get to Work" below, in the following window, do you see an option named "Download" ?

If your interent connection is slow, then downloading our torrent won't make much of a difference, in my opinion.

My base game and Get to work are on discs. Outdoor Retreat is on Origin. I have a laptop that I can take to get higher speed and I was able to download your ultimate fix. The problem is that the updates and Outdoor Retreat I've tried to download but it will start and go for so long and pause and then it starts over and there is no way that I know of to get the updates or Outdoor retreat from another computer like my laptop that would have the speed. If what Akeem told is true then I've solved the update problem, but that still leaves unable to get my Outdoor Retreat expansion. Any help or ideas you have would be appreciated.

Well, I guess that your "disc" version of the base game and get to work may not be compatible with your legit Outdoor Retreat. I suggest you un-install ALL your stuff, and then re-boot the computer. After which you re-download the base game from us, here:

And then use our "Get to Work"-expansion too. By doing this, you will have the base game, the Outdoor Retreat, the "Get to Work" expansion and the other DLC too. That's the best I can tell you - good luck !

Yeah, just wondered if Akeem was right and the dlc in the updates between the base game and Get to Work on included on Get to work or not. Origin and Maxis need to get their downloader to work right and continue from where and when it pauses and/or a site where you could download the updates and game packs independant of their downloader, because I know I'm not the only person who come across this. Shouldn't be this hard to play a game. That's why I appreciate you guys. You were a great help with my Sims 3 game. Thanks again.

Is Akeem right about all the dlc being included beween the base and expansion on the Get to Work disc?

Hi there,

You mean stuff like Outdoor Retreat? If so, yes, those are included in Get to Work, since they are also part of the Game Updates: http://help.ea.com/en/article/the-sims-4-updates/
