Sims 3 Crashes after startup!

hello guys

i have the legal copy of the sims 3 base game and i have downloaded all expansions (Except town life). i installed generations first and installed the new patch. then i installed the rest of the expansions and did the ULTIMATE FIX on them all. all seems well untill i click play on the game launcher then after that it just goes to a blank screen and crashes and have to use task manager to close it!

Any ideas on what the problem is?? everything is updated and the base game is at 1.24

You should check your video card and the RAM Memory.
You need a pretty good video card, for a proper functioning (Same with RAM).

You should check if your video card is updated, too.

If you have a good video card (updated), and 1.5-2GB RAM, and still isn't working, I suggest you to download the EPs and the Base-Game from our site.

my computer is good enough to run sims 3 and all EP's. and apparently your sims 3 and the legal copy make no difference, and do i need town life stuff if i already have generations??

You should download Base-Game and other EPs from our site, will be more compatible. (You combined your legal Base-Game with pirated EPs)

Yes i have some CC i have some .package files from 2010 stores

Yes thankyou the application in the program files did work and it loaded. BUT it went past the loading screen and got to the point of where you choose your neighbarhood and it just said "please insert game disk for generations to continute". any help/ suggestions???

After this, the game should work fine.

i did i already applied the ultimate fix to every expansion i have, i didnt apply the fix to town life because i dont want to use that EP. i did with generations and the rest... i used your youtube tutorial.

EDIT: all is well have got it working forgot to apply the crack from the Town life/generations folder of the fix to base game. thankyou guys alot. ONE more quick question, will i be able to add custom content to the game and .package files???

Glad you found the problem. I hope you enjoy playing the game!

Also, you can add (non-official) Mods and Custom Content, but I recommend being careful with those, as they might mess up your game. I recommend adding them in groups of 5 and then test the game. If you have any problems, see which one is causing the problem and delete that one.
