My sim has a teenage daughter who happens to be interested in other girls. She met another girl and things got all lovey dovey. I got their relationship up high enough to get them to exchange promise rings, and then they started dating. Well, now the system is so screwed up it thinks they are both single and going out. What do I mean? Well, in the mean interaction menu, there is the "Breakup" interaction, and in the romantic interaction menu there is the "Ask if Single" interaction, to which they reply yes, they are single, even after I know I had her ask to be her girlfriend. The most the relationship panel shows is that they are Lovebirds, Sweethearts, and Promised. Now I know EA is all about the metaphors, but this kind of error does not promote equality in the modern age, as I've only started having this problem with their relationship, not with straight relationships.

Hi there. The same ting keeps happening in my game too -.- I think it's just with the teenagers though, but still, pretty annoying! I don't know if it's a known bug, or if it has something to do with the patch or whatever :s

I moved this to the chit-chat section, because I find it more suited there. 

But with all due respect (and as much as I dislike EA), did it occur to you that this might "just" be another in-game glitch ? And did you also attempt to do this on teenage (!) male-female relationships...and if so, what was the result ?

But even if that one 'worked', you cannot (yet) politicize the issue. An in-game glitch alone doesn't have to mean anything, but of course, I do acknowledge that it may look highly weird and suspicious.
