Origin Base

I have the legit copy of TS3 and I downloaded it and a few ep's, (i didnt run ts3 yet) and i tried to install some EP's but it won't work (it says sims needs updating, then says it can't update) so I installed the ultimate fix and when I try open the game on origin it says a error occured and shuts it down.

Are you sure you correctly did the steps #2, #4 and #5 here?

Beyond that, it's an interesting question. The newer Sims 3 base game from "after September 2012", see this here:

requires Origin to run. And I actually can't tell if the Ultimate fix will work with this newer base game edition. I do know it definitely works with the older base game edition (since I use that one myself). So if you really cannot get it working, un-install your legit Sims 3 games from Origin, tehn re-boot the computer. After which you go ahead with the pirated Sims 3 games, from here. Very Happy
