base game from origin

i bought the base game from origin, im trying to download expansions and i get as far as putting in the serial code and it wont let me go further (it shows me the next page and then it just closes the window)
i then tried to put the crack folder in the /bin and it just tells me i already have that file

Hello,
You should be able to install the expansions on an Origin base game, try following these instructions. When you get to placing the crack, you indeed get told that you already have those files, that's normal. Just allow the existing files to be replaced.

do iskip steps 1 and 2 and just go to step 3? or do i have to do step 2
