Can't locate setup.exe file. Empty Can't locate setup.exe file.

Hi i just downloaded sims 4 for mac and when i open the folder there is only 1 file The Sims 4.rar. I have tried downloading an extractor from the app store and every time i go to extract it says ''invalid format" how do i find all my missing files?

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Unfortunately, we do not give any support on The Sims 4 running on Mac OS. Please see my post here:

In general, all of our downloads are meant for Windows OS only. If you look at the very beginning of this thread that I just linked to, you will see a guide that involves using "WINE" (a kind of Windows emulator, to put it very simply). But we do not endorse this guide; take it as it is please.

Should you need further support on this, you should contact other sites for that, as I'm afraid we can't help further here, sorry. Good luck anyways though !

thanks for your help.. I've already downloaded WINE but i cant get past finding the setup.ex folder..

Everything you need is inside the .RAR file. One popular extraction program on Mac is the "StuffIt Expander", another one is "The Unarchiver". My own Mac knowledge is very rudimentary though, but I'm guessing that the people who had success with the WINE guide managed to extract it properly.  

Or wait...did you download that Sims 4 torrent from another source than G4TW ? If you got it elsewhere, please re-download the Games4theworld version instead, available here:
