MAC guide problems (cracked torrent not available). [SOLVED]

hello,

When following the steps in the official Games4TheWorld guide for Mac OSX I encountered a problem:

The Torrent mentioned in 1 (The Sims 3 (Mac, cracked) is not downloadable anymore. I can download other basegames but then I can't crack the game the proper way anymore. So the guide is outdated!

I need a new basegame that is ALREADY CRACKED for this method to work.

could any of you guys help me with a new guide to install the game with the sims3.rar found in the Games4TheWorld torrentdatabase, of find the new cracked mac basegame?

Hello and welcome to the forum,

First of all, please note that the person who wrote the Mac guide (@Dieneryn), did this a VERY long time ago already. Also, Dieneryn isn't active on the forum anymore either. So yes, some of the information might be outdated. Also keep in mind that most of the team (me including) has only very limited Mac knowledge.

In this case though, you can download the "Complete Collection" of The Sims 3, from this site:
https://games4theworld.org/downloads.html

The base game that is included there also seems to work for Mac. Note that this download is big, and it has the Sims 3 base game and all expansions too. It is packed in a .RAR file, so you will need to extract it first with an appropriate program (StuffIt Expander ?).

P.S. again, please note that beyond that you are on your own, as I can't give further support on the technicalities that might come up in Mac OS, sorry.

Thank you very much for your elaboration. I am not in the least complaining because I think you guys do a great job. I browsed the forum after my post and found that you suggested this solution to another member. I tested it out and indeed: IT WORKS!

I downloaded the Complete Collection in .rar and expanded it with stuffit expander. I followed the guides steps for making .dmg files and installed the base game of the sims 3.

With the ultimate fix method that can be found on your site I MANUALLY patched the sims with the MAC PATCH. Then I followed the guide for the installation of the expansions and the application of the cracks.

WORKS LIKE A CHARM.
