Manual patch error message. [SOLVED]
I downloaded Sims 3- The Complete Collection and installed the base game, but when I ran the manual patch (TS3_1.67.2.0240xx_update.exe) it said, "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate." The launcher insists I'm up to date, despite showing version 1.0.615.00107, so I can't update that way. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
Where exactly did you get your base game version from?
Did you install the base game version that was included with the Complete Collection?

Yes. I ran Sims3Setup.exe that came with the Complete Collection. I also have a script error on the launcher. It predates the problems I'm having now and never seemed to do anything bad, but in case it's related, it says: an error has occurred in the script on this page. Line: 104 Char: 3 Error: expected identifier, string or number code: 0 and a url at thesims3 website that I'm not allowed to post.

No, the "Script Error" is not related, it's a bug on the webpage that loads when your Launcher opens.
As for the error you get, you can try two things: first is uninstalling the base game, restarting your PC and then reinstalling the base game.
Worth a try. If that didn't work, it might also be a Registry. Only way I can help you with that is if you join the Forum's Chatbox when you see me online on the Forum. If I have time to help, I'll join the Chatbox too.

Restarting and reinstalling didn't work. I guess we'll chat later then.

Did you extract the contents of the Complete Collection with the program WinRAR, and into a single empty folder ? Also, try un-installing the base game and re-boot the computer. And after the re-boot, resume with re-installing from scratch.
