Do patches influence some forms of CC showing up in game?

Hello there,

So I have a little bit of a problem I *think* I've figured out but I'd like to be sure before giving up.

I have a lot of CC that won't show up in my game. Roughly half the stuff I've downloaded won't show up. Mostly it's content for CAS such as hair, face paint, clothing, etc. I'd post examples, but I'm a new member and am unable haha. You can google Holosprite as an example, she's a hair retexturer, and none of her recent stuff/meshes she links to shows up for me.

I have the latest patch for the cracked game, but like many others am missing the latest ones.

Is this what could be causing the random CC not to show up? I've troubleshooted quite a bit with the standard deleting the Sims 4 folder, deleting caches, etc but to no avail. I was scouring this forum and it seems like this could be the answer. If so, then I'm totally good with it. I decided on buying it on payday before encountering this problem, but now I really want to make sure this isn't a game problem that will effect me after buying a legit copy, and is instead a crack problem.

Yes, some patches and updates certainly do change things in game, including the way it handles CC, sorry.

You should contact the content creator and ask for their help, since they will be more qualified to assist you, as they coded it.

Anyway, you can always try updating the game and seeing if you get your problem solved.
