Issues with Sims 4 install, please help

I'm having a bunch of issues and I don't really know where to start. I ran the 'The_Sims_4_Setup' and didn't change where the default destination folder is. After it was done, it gave me a shortcut, which basically says it can't find 'TS4.exe', then the next time I click it, it tells me to either a) browse for it or b) just delete the shortcut. Well, I go into the folder where the game installed to, and there are only 4 folders, none of which have the 'TS4.exe' icon at all. Now, I went to where I unzipped the torrent, and in that folder there are 5 other zipped files that say setup1, setup2, setup3 etc and when I look in those the 'TS4.exe' file is indeed located in there. So I unzipped one of them into the Sims 4 directory and when I went to click on the 'TS4.exe' icon, it gave me an error and then disappeared completely. I have no idea what's happening, and I'm not even sure if I'm unzipping files to the correct destination or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

You are correct on the first step. What is actually happening is that your antivirus is deleting the TS4.exe, because of a false-positive. You need to add the install location of the game to the exceptions list of your antivirus. But for you to get the necessary files that were deleted back, you need to download the latest Ultimate Fix and apply it following the included instructions. You can find it here:

You may also need to add the location where you are downloading this Ultimate Fix to the exceptions list. Ate you planning on installing Get to Work, too?
