Commissioning residential lots Empty Commissioning residential lots

Post by ☠ ~ Aɳɳ ~ ☠ Fri 18 Sep 2015, 20:51

Hello,

I've been creating a world and I've been at it for over a year now. I have well over 100 residential lots and I've already built quite a few of them, but I don't have that much time to build. (who would with 4 kids haha)
If anyone is interested in having one of their creations in my world "Oakwood Island", I have selected 5 residential lots. If you're interested, please reply with the lot's number. Just in case all lots are taken, but there are still takers, I have more empty lots Wink

-You can use furniture from all of the expansions and stuff packs
-You can use store items only if you're using packages (and, of course, decrapped)
-No other CC please
-The lot needs to have at least 1 (small) oak or (1 small) oak chestnut or 1 (small) aspen tree (all 3 and/or more than 1 is ok)
-Please stick to the lot size as it shows in the information
-Please copy the lot name

Information about the lot is in each individual screenshot

In the description: basic information is needed, how many bedrooms, how many bathrooms. You may add any other information you want. Also, put your name/nickname in the lot description! I end each description with ~ElDi lot~, but you're free to choose in which way you'll add your name, just as long as you do.

Other than that, feel free to be creative! I would be honored to host your work in my world Smile

Commissioning residential lots Empty Re: Commissioning residential lots

Post by Sim Architect Sat 19 Sep 2015, 01:55

Hi! I would love Lot 1 (5 Science Circle), but I am not sure I can deliver soon, since I have a slow computer right now and I have been feeling quite tired lately.

How many weeks (or months) would we have to send you a house? Will you send us a copy of your world or an empty lot in a manner we can "do it right"?

I've been working on a world of myself in and out for about four years so far, and I plan on releasing it "any way it is" by Christmas, complete or incomplete, so people can play with it even if it doesn't have "everything necessary", or I might just use some rabbit holes (it's a rabbit hole less world so far), we'll see...

If you have tons of time to wait, then I can try building it, having some 3D pics of the area would help to make the house more consistent with the neighborhood, so it won't clash Wink

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Sim!

I don't expect my world will be finished any time soon, so you can take your time. I would love it if you'd build a lot for my world!

I can upload a sims3pack of my current beta, the one I'm working with at the moment. I'll send the link in PM.

Hello,

I see that this post is about 4-5 months old and I do not know if you have finished your world or not (assuming not Why. ). Then again, I have no idea if you have already given up or not, resulting in broken keyboards or a mouse as a collateral damage (oops).

I am not a pro in sims 3, although I have been playing for years. So it might not be to your taste, you might find it amateur or too much hardwood might be annoying for some people too. Nevertheless, I have one lot here, 25x25, possibly fit to your '3 Science Circle'. It includes neither any custom content, nor any store content. Built only with build tools and furniture from base game and expansions. Lot contains 3 aspen trees and 1 small oak tree. 2 bedrooms, 1 living room in 2 stories and built almost completely with hardwood.. Perhaps you might just want to check it.

I did some virus scan, both with installed kaspersky and an online scanner providing many anti-virus software results. File was safe, according to all those.

I haven't given up on the world, but it's on hold for the moment. Minecraft .... lol
I'm definitely going to have a look at the house you've built!

Hello again,

In case you do not like the wooden, here is another stone / steel house; 2 aspen and 1 small oak trees. This one is 30x20 and fit for East Edge. Again, plain game tools, no cc or store content. Perhaps you might want to check.

By the way, if there are other people who are building worlds, and if they do not mind the lots being a bit amateur  Oh my... , I can help with a few lots, either community or residental. Worlds will never finish without help. Most people I knew back in other sites and forums could finish their worlds in years, even by help of many people. EA can not even finish them in years, with hundreds of designers. But I think that's just being EA :p

Is the implication that you don't believe that @Edin ElDi can finish the world ?  Suspect  Laughing  But making a world can involve a lot of work, yes. I would suggest not putting too many residential lots in that world; it may look nice but since the game is so power-hungry it may be an issue for those with weaker/older machines.

This thing called Union Cove (google for it) is a perfect example of a giant & nice, but also resource-hungry TS3 neighborhood.

Or maybe release 2 versions of the world. One with a bare minimum of (residential) lots, and another one that is 'more furnished'.

I already have 100+ residential lots and about 25 community lots (from the top of my head) Razz
And I've been working on it (on and off) for about a year and half. It's a slow process, I don't have as much time as I'd like because of the kids and my work around the house and in my neighbourhood. And because I also have other interests (Minecraft anyone? Laughing )

It's certainly not going to be a world for a low-end PC, but I took extra care of proper routing, so that helps.
