How to place the stonesthrow greenhouse lot.

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I am hoping someone can help me.

I thought I'd put the greenhouse in one of my neighbourhoods after all this time (the Dragon Valley one) and it's not playing nicely.
I know the trick of making sure that the lot type must be exactly the right category name to match the placable lot and making sure there's enough room, etc.....but still no dice.
As soon as I go to place the lot, the lots disappear like it's not an option for some reason.
I did as above and called it "visitors allowed" just like what it's called in the lots bin. What else am I missing?
I've done this tonnes of times in just about all of my neighbourhoods, (I'm a chronic fiddler, I must change everything, lol!) but this is the first time I've had this kind of trouble.
I'm really in a "HULK SMASH" kinda mode about this. It's driving me bonkers. There's no good reason that I can think of why this isn't just working.
Can anyone suggest something?

But to answer your question, by "using the launcher", do you mean like getting it at the store and DLing it and installing it legit like? Cos umm, some of my content I didn't get that way.
I had a friend that found me a whole pile of stuff that I wanted, including whole worlds, and he just magically put it on my computer for me. No idea what was involved. Didn't ask, lol! Would have cost me a small fortune in sim points, and therefore dollars if I were to purchase everything I have!
Ive never had a problem with (non legit) content before, and this has ranged from individual build/buy items, to lots (like the greenhouse) to entire worlds. Everything has worked flawlessly so far....except for this accursed thing!
I haven't thought of using it before, and I'm not sure if this appears on some other world "naturally, or it has always been additional content, so I'm unfamiliar with it.

And no, I can't place it at all. After I have chosen my lot, renamed and recategorised it, etc, I click on my chosen lot to place it, and the lot options all disappear on me. They generally won't if you've named everything correctly......except for the fact that I HAVE aligned everything, so it SHOULD let me.

And yeah, I'm just using the edit town thingy in a "live" game, as it were, not the CaW, although I have that fun little toy too. (isn't it brilliant?)

Not quite sure what to show in the screenshot for you.
It's just acting like I've got the name or lot alignment wrong or something, because I've done that before and the lots disappear, and then I realise where I've stuffed up and fix it, then it behaves itself.

I just can't figure out where I've gone wrong, because I've done everything I'm supposed to (just like the thread covering this very topic). Indeed, I have done this many times before, and it's always been super straight forward.

The only random thing I can think of is that it might be possible that this particular file was corrupted in some way, and so it might be broken for all time.
If so, I wonder would buying it legit help (le sigh) and what happens to the one already there? Guess I'll have to uninstall it?

This is why I sometimes don't play Sims for months at a stretch. The problems and bugs make me grumpy and so I leave it for a while in the hope that they will be patched a bit later. Sometimes they are....sometimes not.
Love the game, adore it even(I have the very first Sims game somewhere here, so I'm a big fan from way back) ) ....but HATE the bugs, lol!
