Some of the xtra packs are not working (sims 2).

i installed the game and all the packs, following the instruction, but some of the packs i installed sayed at the end of the installation that it would update my game, then it sayed that it couldn't update because of some unknown error (it didn't tell me what error) and then it canceled the whole installation of that pack. then i tryed again with the same pack, but this time i did not let it update i just closed the installation program from the joblist, and everything looked fine, all the files were there and so on. it was either not having the pack installed or force close it before the update. it happened again in the next pack and in about 70% of the packs actually. but i had no choise as far as i know so i force-closed them. now when i start the game and enters a world, i can see the error: in the top left corner of the screen there are some blue/gray baubles about /70% of them are grey and says that i haven't installed the pack recuired for this thing. fx. the bon voyage bauble is gray as if i didn't install it, but i did! plz help me figure out what to do cause it just sucks to use that much time installing and only get to play 30% of what you installed. plz help me Help

I'm not an expert on TS2 though (yet). Noob

I suggest you use the "Uninstaller Pro" that I linked in the thread, to remove all of your installed Sims 2 games. Once you un-installed everything, please re-boot the computer. Then start over with the installation.

Important: use ONLY WinRAR to extract the contents of the original .RAR download.

P.S. if you want to give it a try, always right-click on the "Autorun.exe" files, and choose "run as Administrator".
