game launcher error. [SOLVED]

hey there... so i've recently downloaded the sims 3 along with all the expansion packs and stuff packs... here is how i installed...
1. base game (didn't apply cracks)
2. generations (didn't apply cracks)
3. every other expansion and stuff pack (didn't apply cracks)
4. downloaded the fix and applied the cracks for each game in the order given in instructions
now... when told to then open up the game launcher in the fix instructions, the launcher it says there has been an error and it closes on me... have i done something wrong when installing? any advice or help would be much appreciated, thanks.
i've just read the post below mine, have i made an error by not installing town life stuff 3rd? and should i have installed the cracks for the base game? i have the official base game if that would be better to use as a base instead of the download from G4TW.

Hello,
No your G4TW base game should be fine.
It could just be the launcher. I'm assuming you need to update to 1.24 now. That shouldn't be a problem since it is easily done manually. Just download an execute this patch during step 12 of the fix instead of using the launcher to update, then proceed to step 14, copying the actual crack.

worked a treat. launcher has now started working, custom content works fine too... thanks for the help Lady
