I need some Step by Step help.

Hey! New to this. Did a bunch of searching and I can't seem to find what I need.
I'm new to pirating in general and I have 0 idea what I'm doing. I followed the Sims 3 MUST READ guide exactly but I must have messed something up.

BACKGROUND INFO: I am running TS3 through Origin, I have the base game and many retail-bought expansions.
I downloaded the Island Paradise and Into the Future packs, and I installed the manual patch and ultimate fix as well. However, I don't know what to do with the manual patch or where to put the Island Paradise and Future files.

Anytime I try to run the manual patch I get an error message saying that no installed version of TS3 can be found and it cancels the installation. This is where I am stuck.

Any help or videos would be greatly appreciated,

Hello,

You may already be at the proper patch level (1.67.xx), but to check, you can open the launcher.

Next, you need to copy the crack in the fix to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
rather than C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

What exactly do you mean by "Island Paradise and Future files"?

I am currently at the 1.69 patch. Anytime I try to run install the patch, I get an error message that no version of TS3 is installed. I even uninstalled the game and reinstalled just the base game. Am I supposed to move the patch into a folder in my origin files? Or because my game is at 1.69 already am I able to skip the manual patch?

And by Island Paradise and Future files I meant the downloaded torrents that I got from this website. Do I leave them in my torrent launcher or do I need to move them to a specific Origin folder?

Hello,

It's unfortunate that you're at patch level 1.69. The only way to revert, is to uninstall again. Make sure you restart your pc after you uninstall, but before you reinstall.
After that, don't allow Origin to patch your game! Run the manual patch instead. Game version 1.69 can't be cracked.

Then, extract the ones you've downloaded one by one. Use winRAR, and extract. It can be to any folder, but it's probably easiest to create a new folder on the desktop for this. When you've extracted a file, open the folder and find the installation guide. That will tell you what to do next.

When you've finished installing an expansion, empty the folder you've extracted it to, so it's ready for the next expansion.

When both are installed, take the crack from the fix and copy it to the specified location, and that's it!

Let us know if you run into problems.

Hello,

The instructions are primarily meant for people who either pirated the base game, or got the old DVD (retail) version of the Sims 3 base game. The instructions hence may be confusing for people who have this weird Origin-version that is on patch level 1.69.

You may not need to uninstall though. For now, just run the installer of Island Paradise & Into the future (refer to the included instructions). Then apply the "Ultimate fix". See if you can run your game.

If not, then you will indeed have to uninstall your Origin- base game and then go for a pirated base game instead.

Important question: Does it matter if I install expansion packs (the ones I HAVE purchased through origin) after applying the Ultimate Fix?

My plan was to try and get the Paradise and Future expansions working, and applying the Fix and then going back and installing my other packs just so I didn't waste time installing all the packs to find out I messed something up.

Yes, you can also install expansions after applying the Ultimate fix.

And you only need the files inside the #Crack-folder of the Ultimate fix. Copy and paste them over the location C:\Program files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Replace the existing files when prompted. Smile

If they are legitimate copies through origin will I have to recrack my game or anything after getting Paradise & Future to work or can I just install them after the ultimate fix and play?

It doesn't matter if they are legit or pirated: you should not have to re-crack the game. And even if - for some weird reason - there is a problem, just re-copy and re-paste those 2 files. Smile

When you have a copy of Poweriso (free) installed on your computer, you might go for a different kind of download that does not require cracks/fixes.
Just download those iso's, mount them in Poweriso (mind you, Deamon won't do the trick)
Start installing as if you have the original DVD in your computer's DVD station and keep the highest expansion pack (Into the Future) mounted when playing the game.
You can find a virusfree and tested copy of Paradise Island HERE
A copy of into the Future HERE

PowerIso downloads are considered to be exact replicas of the original, legal, DVD's and Origin will treat them as such.
So, no messing around with cracks and fixes.

I don't know, having to mount image files each and every time can be tedious in the long run. And, mounting image files will take extra system resources compared to using modified .exe and .dll files, which will be felt by those whose computers are already older and/or weaker. I would still recommend using the "Ultimate fix".

Sorry about that, I only tried to help and it goes without saying that I won't post links to sites that are not fully tested and are 100% virus free.
In helping people on a forum it is sometimes unavoidable to post outside links saving the trouble of copy/paste whole pages.
But, message understood, it won't happen again.

Sadly Edin was right and the 1.69 version can't be cracked nor will origin let me install a non-1.69 version of the game even with turning off updates. Trying to run the launcher or run the game with administrator powers just leads to a "The Sims 3 Has Stopped Working". Thanks for the help, now I'll turn to the pirated base game or the complete collection.

Last question - Can the pirated base game be played with Origin expansions or does it only work the other way around?

No harm, no foul (yet). Smile

And as said, I did not censor any of the links you posted, I just "masked" them with an URL-shortener. That's the same as what team members do on here generally, if such an outside link really needs to be posted, then only with its URL shortened. And you may still send those things via PM to other users.

If the topic was about something like custom-made sims, CAS items, lots or whatever, we also try checking those links and censor if necessary, but in those cases we are generally lenient. But if someone posts something like "get the full game here !!!1111!!!" and/or links to a sketchy-looking site, then we will pay more attention to those things.
