Sims 3 Update from 1.24 to 1.26

When launching my Sims 3 launcher in the 'Game Updates' section it says I have an update 1.26..I click to update and it gets all the way to 99% then says "Invalid File found" message. I used to get the message when trying to update to the 1.24 but I downloaded the alternative way and it updated. Is there another way to update to version 1.26..like a way around or something? Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

You'll face this error, when you update your Sims without replacing the current crack file with fix. Which you can get from HERE.
If you've problem to update the game through launcher. You can always update it Manually
