Can't replace files. [SOLVED] Empty Can't replace files. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sat 11 Jun 2016, 13:47

Hi, I'm new so sorry if I am in the wrong section....
I followed the steps for the ultimate fix, but when I drag and drop the TS3W and TSLHost.dll files in the crack folder to the Sims 3/Games/Bin page, there is no pop up asking me if i want to copy and replace. Instead they just load at the bottom of my screen and don't really do anything WhatDidUJustCallMe?/

Ok, what if you copy/paste instead of drag&drop?

I can copy the files but Is there a certain place/folder I should be pasting in? Because when I do it in the general space it doesn't come up with an option to paste

Hmm.. is there any chance that the folder (C:Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin) is marked as "read-only", right-click it to see the properties.

Right-click on the "bin" folder, and find "properties" at the bottom of the menu that opens up.

Paste them in your folder Program Files(x86) - Electronic Arts - The Sims 3 - Game - Bin
You then MUST receive a message that the files already exist.
If you don't get this message you are pasting into the wrong folder.

(Make sure you do not accidentally paste them into one of the subfolders of Bin)

OK, very slowly. You should download the file here.
https://goo.gl/7iw5Zv

After you extract the contents of the .RAR file with the program WinRAR, you end up with 2 files. The TS3W.exe and the TSLHost.dll. You must COPY these 2 files. Afterwards navigate to C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. And PASTE the copied files there. Replace the existing files when prompted. Then try running the game from the TS3W.exe

Okay I was using the wrong browser so that's why it wasn't working, now I just can't replace the files, instead they just move to the bin.

Have a look at the topic here and try applying the procedure on your own system:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t17678-permissions-error-when-copying-cracked-files-fix

Then re-copy & re-paste both these files.

I tried that before and it gives me permission to move the files around, it's just that the TSLHost.dll file that isn't wokring. Could it be that that file is an application but the one in the bin is an application extension?

Are you sure you did the procedure correctly... ? Also, try turning off your anti-virus temporarily and move/copy again the two files. The file type doesn't matter here; both files must be placed into the location that we mentioned.
