Unable to Install Camtasia Studio 8.4.3.1792 Empty Unable to Install Camtasia Studio 8.4.3.1792

So I downloaded Camtasia and followed the instructions. I got stuck at the part where it says:

"4. Upon saving the file, DO NOT SAVE IT AS A .TXT FILE!!! Click on the drop-down menu and choose to save
it as "All files". (Sometimes it'll automatically safe it as "All files" and nothing will pop-up - that's OK)
Note: if it says you do not have enough rights to save in the same folder and overwrite the old file, just save
the "hosts" file in another folder and then manually move it and overwrite the original."

**I disconnected my internet
I unchecked "Read Only" and copied the two lines. But then when I tried to save it, (I clicked All Files) it came up with a thing that said I don't have permission to save "hosts" in C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc

So I saved it in documents because I was planning on moving it. But when I saved it in documents, it was a .TXT file?  Shocked

At that point I had no idea what to do. Help would be highly appreciated.  Surprised

//MOVED

Hello,

Unfortunately, the company releasing this software seems to have changed something about their activation servers (not too long after we released that software, of course). See also this post here for more details:

I would actually suggest you give Camtasia Studio 7 a try, which is also available on the official downloads-site. Smile
