Sims just stand around and do nothing

My game was working for a while but now my sims just stand around and do nothing. I do have CC.

I tried deleting my cache files but I don't have a folder named cache, its been named as cachestr instead. This is what my document sims 4 folder looks like after I deleted localthumbcache

Should I try to delete cachestr too? I didn't rename that at all, it came like that so I'm a bit confused. Or is the problem my CC? Should I just see if I have any broken CC instead? I tried restarting the game a lot too but it didn't work.

Do you have a lot of mods and CC?

I have a couple trait mods installed and the School mod for Get To Work and I think I have a moderate amount of CC, but maybe its a lot. idk.

I'm not a pro at fixing but maybe try to uninstall the mods and see then, if that wont work try to uninstall the CC.

I had this error too and it turned out to be an out-of-date mod messing up my game. Since I have a few mods but they're organised in folders, I simply removed each folder and restarted my game until it began working again and I could pinpoint which mod it specifically was. Hope it works out for ya!
