The Sims 4 "update error" MAC.

Hello 
I've taken many hours downloading and reading ALL your steps carefully but whenever I clicl my "The Sims 4" wrapper it shows this:
Please help?? I don't have Origin installed and I've taken precaution to EVERY step there is. Thank you xx

Hi there,
If the directory are the same as PC, go to Documents\EA\The Sims 4 and delete GameVersion.txt. Then run the game.

I deleted it but it gets an error and doesn't start up.
