How to install The Sims 3 Complete Collection for Mac
Hello all!
It's been a while since I've posted. In fact-- over a year. I have been lurking in the deep depths of this forum ocean and I just so happened to re-download TS3 back on to my computer after having withdrawls. I've noticed that the installers DO NOT work for me, since I'm running on El Capitan as of current. However, I found an alternative to install the base + EPs/SPs. [I think this may be under the wrong section. Forgive me mods.)
Things required:
http://www.kekaosx.com/en/ - KEKA
Roughly 30-35 GBs of RAM. (I know, it's a lot, but it's worth it)
1. Download the torrent off of the G4TW website.
2. Once the file is finished downloading, extract it by using Keka.
3. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, check to see how much space you have. You will have to make double the files.
4. Using Keka, there should be a small icon that says .ISO, next to the .DMG icon. Drag and drop the base game folder into the window.
5. After some waiting, you should have an ISO file that has the same title as the folder.
6. Double click the ISO file. MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS THE SAME AS THE FOLDER. IF YOU DELETE THE FOLDER, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO INSTALL THE GAME CORRECTLY.
7. Find the installer, double click it and make sure it works also. If it does, proceed with instructions that the installer does. If not, just start from step four and you shouldn't run into many problems.
8. Be sure to apply the cracks from the files (if neccesary) or if you use the ultimate fix thats made for us Mac users, that works too.
9. Repeat with the other EPs/SPs, and once you've done some test runs on the game, it should work as normal.
*You will run into some tiny glitches like debug errors, white cloudly screens, multi-coloured pin-point like things that would appear on like GTA. I do not know how to fix that. If I do find the fix, I'll let you guys know.
*If you have Origin installed on your computer, UNINSTALL IT. As much as a pain in the behind as it sounds, EA will give you a pop up about this game (since it is..the t word haha). It can possibly erase all your data.
*After you've installed everything, feel free to delete the torrent folders that were downloaded, along with the ISO's, as you don't need them and they take up A LOT of space.
*Mods may screw up your game, just saying for future reference.
*APPLY THE CRACKS OR ELSE THE GAME WILL NOT PROPERLY FUNCTION. I'VE STATED THIS ALREADY, BUT I'M NOT JOKING.
*If you have any questions, feel free to inbox or reply below.

RAM? Or HDD Space? Do people even have 30-35 GBs of RAM?

The OP meant HDD filespace.
And yes, high-end customized (gaming) computer systems can have that amount of RAM or bigger. But again, the OP will have meant free HDD space anyhow.
@nilahsims, thanks for sharing this !

Re: How to install The Sims 3 Complete Collection for Mac
I installed the sims 3 base game and tried to install the EPs/SPs but they all say that the version of Sims 3 is not updatable and is non-compatible.
