Can't get Riverview and Aurora Skies back

Hi all,
You guys have been a tremendous help in the past for me, the problem I'm having and I posted not too long ago about this, is that I have quite a few ep's I downloaded from here and my sims 3 game is awesome.  I had  a couple of mods installed  back then like woohooer and career pack (homemaker) from nraas.  Everything  worked fine, game ran smoothly,  just recently I downloaded nraas story progression, error trap and overwatch which work great but I can't get the worlds Riverview and Aurora Skies back.  Riverview is a free world and Aurora Skies was gifted to me.  I have tried everything and I mean everything, I researched it to death on google.  No matter what I do those worlds are gone, they show as installed but don't show up in launcher when I choose a new game to play.  Any ideas why? Do I need to do something like some kind of fix or crack or something from this site? I'm patched up to 1.67 but I'm not patching to 1.69.  Don't want any problems. Please help if you can, thanks in advance for any help or ideas!

I don't know much about worlds and it's problem. Some more experienced user will surely explain it to you correctly.

As much as I know you weren't supposed to mix "pirated" and legal world. Try downloading world from this site as they are decrapified and intended to use with pirated version. Uninstall Riverview and Aurora Skies that you have and install linked ones. Try and replay back.

Hi again Tony, ok i downloaded Riverview what folder do I extract it to in the sims 3 or wheres the correct place to install the world? thanks

Ok, put files of worlds in Downloads folder in The Sims 3 Documets folder. Open launcher ,go to Downloads in launcher and pick worlds you want to install and click Install. Wait for a bit and when it finishes open game any try. 
When you're installing keep launcher open and script error could pop up, be sure to click ok or whatever on script error as those script error pause your installation, at least that was mine case. If installing in launcher doesn't work just double click on file of downloaded world and installation should start.

unfortunately it hasn't worked for me, I seem to have a big problem with sims3pack files.  Package files are fine just not sims3pack.  I wish the worlds were in package file format.  I'm not sure if you or anyone else can help me anymore but I appreciate all your help.  Thank you

Thank you, I tried all the steps in order that you gave me but it  didn't work.  I thought it was going to work as it said it uninstalled successfully.  I only tried it with Riverview.  I didn't uninstall all my sims3packs as I wasn't sure which files were sims3 packs and which were package files and I didn't want to uninstall my custom content that were package files.  Does the launcher only show sims3 pack files?  Thank you

Part of the "message" from the guide that Edin posted before was this: you should try clearing the DCCache and Installed Worlds-folders, and after that try re-installing your .sims3pack files, including the worlds. Yes, I know this is a very uncomfortable solution, but if you absolutely want those missing worlds, I'm afraid there is no way around doing that.

All these problems with .sims3pack files are the major reason I myself am mostly using .package files these days. And for TS4, EA have completely abandoned this system of little DLC files, so there are no ".sims4pack"-files in The Sims 4.

Sorry again we can't offer an easier solution here.

Thank you both very much for your  help and yes I did completely clear out the DCCache folder and Installed Worlds folders, as far as completely uninstalling every sims3pack file in the launcher, no I didn't do that, I only did Riverview.  I guess that would mean uninstalling all my custom content.  I can try that too but as Edin mentioned is there a way to install worlds as package files?  If so, do you have instructions on that? Thank you.

I want to thank you for all your time and help but not sure if I’m going to attempt this just for Riverview and Aurora Skies as I don’t have any important saves for those worlds.  I have a mac and things just look very complicated and I’m not as computer savvy as everyone else here but again I want to thank you again for all the great information you gave me
