****Need update in order for Sunlit Tides????***help please! [SOLVED]

I have downloaded the Sunlit Tides, yet everytime I download it it says I need the newest updates. Oh mai geeze. I have updated it all day long. And it still says need the update? Please someone help! Been spending my entire saturday doing this. :[ Really want to play it!!!!!!!!!

OK, sounds like you have the untouched version of Sunlit Tides. In order fo r it to install correctly it has to be decrappified. If you want to fix it yourself you can go HERE and follow the instructions, or you can go HERE and download our pre-decrappified version and install it.

Thanks, but I did all that, right after downloading the Sunlit Tides, I knew it would need a fix so I went ahead and did the ultimate fix updated version. :[ Still no progress. Every time I install it it still says "need latest software updates". Is installing game updates a no-no since the only actual game i purchased and registered is the sims 3??? Sigh, i'm sorry guys. I must of did something majorly stupid. Because I normally follow your directions to the T and it always works. I scratch my head and still can't figure out where it all went wrong. Any ideas? Btw, I have teamviewer, sometimes written instructions and I don't click. And I tried the decrapifyer thingy but it wouldn't open. I read the instructions, but the applications would not open. It did for a split second and then would disappear and I had my task manager open the entire time, it didn't even see where it was when it was opened for a split second. :/ So yeah. I have a headache now and i'm going to sleep. Hopefully tomorrow or sometime this week(hopefully before the hurricane Isaac hits b/c i'm down by the gulf of Mexico). The decraping window only opens briefly when decrapping files. If you follow the instructions... drop the file (SunlitTidesDeluxe.sims3pack) onto decrap.exe, wait for the DOS -like window to close and then drop that same file onto s3rc.exe and let that DOS-like window close, then install the now decrapped file like you normally do.

Our beloved Lady ElDi also made a custom decrapify area with instructions that should help you remember the right order of the steps to decrapify sims 3 files.

SMH, i'm at a loss. I see what you mean, but it won't let me open sunlit tides and will no longer allow me to download it. I will try to download it again using chrome instead of firefox. Also, should I drag the ultimate fix through the decrapifyer????

No DO NOT run the Ultimate Fix through the decrapifier, its not made for those types of files and may break them, its only for CC (Custom Content) files (worlds, items, store content, etc) from EA.

Have you tried installing our pre-decrapped version from HERE yet?

If FF is giving you a problem downloading it try closing it and using CCleaner found HERE to clear the browser catch, then download our version and install it. That should fix the problem.

Ok i'm redownloading it via chrome(sunlit tides). Idk if this has anything to do with anything. But I have a Dell Inspiron that I got brand new for Xmas in 2009. Well earlier this year (I had been downloading stuff from piratebay and games4theworld for several months prior to the beginning of the year so I do not see why it would cause the following) my computer decided to go to a black screen and it says this in the lower right hand corner "Windows 7, Build 7601, This copy of Windows is not genuine". I don't think downloading had anything to do with this. I have researched online and apparently this has happened a lot. I'm broke and poor, I live with my parents and that's how I survive. I can't afford to take my pc to get it fixed by a pro. And idk if you guys are even familiar with this issue. While playing the sims, it will stop a lot during the middle of a game. And I usually have to restart it. So anyone have any idea about any of this? I know there is a fix for the windows is not genuine but when I attempted to fix it, I had accidentally deleted the correct programs in the programs area. So oops... But will this harm my computer and no longer let me play the sims? Sorry, I know long and i'm a mess.

That could have a lot to do with the problems your having. DELL doesn't like it when you just delete program files instead of uninstalling them, well for that matter, Windows period doesn't like it when you do that.

Did your Dell come with a restore disk or rescue partition? If you dont know that ok, if you can post which Inspiron model you have I can look in the book and see which it came with. Hopefully it came with the disk so we can do a OS fix instead of a complete re-install, but either way I can walk you through it so you dont lose any important data.

No your not stupid, stupid people don't know how to or wont ask for help.

The good news is that with the reinstall disk you should have the option of repairing the Windows install. Insert the disc and reboot your computer, when it finishes loading you should see an option to "Repair Windows Installation" or something very similar. Select that and let it run through the repair process, be patient as it may take a bit to complete. Once its done, remove the disc and reboot.

Won't let me for some reason.

Left click and hold on the file, drag it over decrap.exe and let go, repeat procedure with s3rc.exe (drag decrapped sims3pack over s3rc.exe and let go). Viola, sims3pack now ready to install


OK that as you can see is Windows XP, do you still have the Windows 7 disc you used to upgrade or is the Windows 7 upgrade from a "fixed" release?

k, i'll work on the sims issue tomorrow. Right now i'm trying to figure out why this disc wont let me install xp or reinstall it. i have windows 7. i'm tired it's late, maybe i should get some rest and try this all again in the morning? btw, why did my computer decide to tell me it is no longer genuine?

Thats because Windows 7 is newer than XP and Windows doesn't support downgrading without completely re-formatting the disk. Who installed the Windows 7 for you, your dad? Maybe he has the disk to repair it.

If not you can download our version HERE and follow the loader install directions.

AS for windows deciding it not genuine... during updates windows checks itself to see if it genuine or not, so if your using a improperly "fixed" windows version it sets off the "Not Genuine" alarm.

Most likely my dad. I didn't want to say this... I don't remember much. I was in the hospital for Xmas in 2009. I just remember it working, me laying in the hospital bed with the laptop on my tray and it was new shiny and amazing. i'll try the download b/c the cds i listed earlier were the only ones i found.

bahahaha. All these discs are for an older model dell pc. I thought it was for mine b/c i'm the only one with a dell. but where's my box? lol. oh God. No wonder why it was saying "....windows 98" I kept thinking 98? That's old. Looks like the download will take up to 7 hours. wtc. >.< I'm going to search for my box. While it downloads. If I find it it with the correct cds then delete current download!!!!!!

Grr, found my box, nothing was in it. This is sooo annoying. Guess it's
going to be downloading while I sleep. I hate doing that b/c I have a
second battery adapter. The first one died in March. And I use my pc
everyday. So ugh.

So I fixed my computer genuine issue via microsoft phone tech support.
For anyone else that has this similar issue, you needn't download the
windows 7. Simply type in your product key and it fixes everything!!!!
No money, no time downloading. Very simple. Now on to finally installing
the sunlit tides. Decrapifyer. fun.

lol, i'm still working on it. As i've mentioned before, i'm on the gulf coast of the United States, been dealing with Isaac and a lot of rain. But i'm still working on it. your media fire account as usual. I snapped a pic of what came up when I
tried to install it.

ok, That means your game is not up to date yet. Please go HERE and follow steps 2-4 exactly as written, once you've finished updating and fixing the game you will be able to install Sunlit Tides without that error.

No, not a faster computer, but a faster internet connection. Upload and download speeds are controlled by the type of connection you have (i.e. dial-up, DSL, Satellite, etc). There are a few minor tweaks you can make from your end (modem and router tweaks mainly) but they are just that, minor tweaks that result in minor speed improvements.
