Have used Ultimate Fix but game keeps crashing after a minute of play...

Hi,

I downloaded the Sims 3 Generations EP yesterday & installed it as per the instructions.

It wouldn't work because of the 1.26 update, so I manually updated the patch then used the Ultimate Fix & followed the instructions to the letter.

Now it's up to date & I can launch it & select a town, but after a minute or so of play it crashes.

Any suggestions?

If I want to roll back the install of Generations how do I get everything back as it was yesterday before I started mucking around with it? Does anyone have back up copies of the original files pre crack? (Just the 2 original TS3W.exe & TSLHost.dll files)? I think I'm better off uninstalling Generations & just buying Pets tomorrow & doing it that way.

Any help greatly appreciated.

BTW - I have already tried backing up & deleting all custom content - made no difference, game still crashed about 20 seconds after I selected the game & go to the play screen.

just a note: i'm having the exact same problem. i tried uninstalling just the pets ep and the game worked fine, so it seems to be just something with pets. so aggravating cuz i've been looking forward to pets for a long time. hope we get this problem solved soon!

Hi, thanks for the info, I have now tried manual update, ultimate fix, removing all custom mods & changing the DEP settings but to no avail.

It's still not working & still crashes after a few seconds

I went out & bought Pets, so I think I will have to try rolling back the dl'd Generations & go without. I hope I can as I really don't want to have to uninstall all 6 bought Base & EP versions...
