Unable to change aging settings. [SOLVED] Empty Unable to change aging settings. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sat 19 Nov 2016, 18:45

Have just installed all of the sims 3 games and stuff packs.

When I go to the settings, I can't change or select/deselect any of the aging settings. Its stuck at normal - which is annoying as normally I prefer it to be longer.
I have already updated using the ultimate fix and still no change.

Any help much appreciated!

Hello,

Welcome to the forum.
I believe you can try to get this setting unstuck by turning off aging completely, then turning it on again.

The Ultimate fix of TS3 in the first place is there to bypass the CD check when starting the game. Smile

You could also consider this:
- go to Documents\Electronic Arts and change the folder name of The Sims 3 into something like The Sims 3_old.
- re-run the manual patch
- re-apply the Ultimate fix
- go again under Documents\Electronic Arts and change the folder name of The Sims 3_old back to The Sims 3.

Then try the game again.

Thanks very much guys. I have no idea how but it seems to have corrected itself and I'm now able to reset ages.

How strange! Thanks very much though!

Good to hear! The problem does tend to correct itself occasionally after restarting the game.
Don't hesitate to post if you have questions or problems again.
