Once the complete game is installed, can you patch via the game prompts? [SOLVED]

So I just opened the game after installing and patching and cracking and all that good stuff and it says there is an update available. I'm just wondering if I can update it this way or if it'll cause issues with the game since it wasn't obtained and installed on the "up and up" winkwink nudgenudge.

I'm not entirely 100% sure about your problem, since it's been a few years since I downloaded and installed the game and all of the SP and EP files, however my memory is telling me that after the crack file you should be able to download any updates available online since with the crack you fool the server on TS3 into thinking you did, in fact, purchase the game. (This does not work the same way on TS4)

If that does prove to be incorrect then you should be able to get updates for both the game and the store through the downloads page, so you should definitely check that out as well.

I'd also like to take a moment in this response to point out, in case no one has noticed or bothered to report it, that the readme file for TS3 seems to have been mixed up and replaced with TS4 readme. That may be something to look into, however if you've already previously been notified of this issue then I do apologize for the repetition.

May I ask which "readme file for TS3" you are referring to specifically?

You should not patch beyond gameversion 1.67, the version from this patch. You don't need to patch beyond that, since the 1.69 version doesn't add much for non-Origin Simsplayers. And you are a non-Origin Simplayer.
Aside from that, there is no crack for that gameversion.
