Game keeps freezing/unresponsive.

I'm sorry if there's another topic that's already been resolved, but I looked around and couldn't find anything.

I just recently got finished downloading the base game, the expansion packs, the fix, etc. Everything seems to be working fine until I start it up and it gets to the main menu screen and it's showing me the new stuff/expansion packs. I get to the very last little window showing one of the expansion/stuff packs and I go to click on the x button to close it, but it keeps freezing and making the game go unresponsive.

Are you sure you kept the install order like this here?  
Base game -> Get to Work -> Get together -> (latest) Ultimate fix

Did you have the game installed earlier on that computer and if yes, did you install any custom content/mods? Check again under Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods to see what's there.
