The Sims Medieval stuck on loading screen for create a sim for monarch.

hey, so i recently installed The Sims medieval on my iMac OSX Sierra and then installed patch for game and crack to play game without disc. Everything was working until ,as part of the tutorial, i had to create a monarch. The loading screen for create a sim appears but never loads. I have tried to restart game but same problem is present.

I know this is a fairly old game but could someone help ASAP please?
