another RldOrigin_ext.dll issue Empty another RldOrigin_ext.dll issue

Post by Guest Fri 23 Jun 2017, 18:37

Hello, I am happily using this site for years now and I think you guys are awesome Carlos is tha man!!! but I'm having issues trying to play sims 4 so here it goes...

I am so sorry that I am again posting about this issue, because I know a lot of people have the same problem but although I checked other threads I still can't figure out what is the problem with my installation. I have set an exception in the firewall, I have set downloads folder and program files folder as exceptions for the antivirus, I am using Avira, and I know this antivirus also uses windows defender's firewall, so perhaps issue lies there? and for all the updates from toddlers onward the RldOrigin_ext.dll won't paste in the sims 4 file in program files. I get a pop-up that says I don't have the permission to paste it there, although I am the administrator and the sole user of this computer. I can move it there if I rename it to anything else but then it doesn't let me to rename file back to it's original name, so I still can't play. I tried going in the properties of the file and change permissions to allow all users to do everything but I still can't move it to the program files. So yeah if anyone has any idea what am I doing wrong it would be very helpful. I tried re-downloading the updates and I 've done so many re-installations in the last couple of days that I am now so sick of everything  IAmSoHappyEmergahwd I think the next step if nothing else works would be to uninstall my stupid antivirus and try to just work with windows defender, in that case I would love if someone could point me to some tutorial about how to disable everything about it, so I will finally be able to play. thanks in advance

Right-click on the icon of Windows Defender (via de ^sign on the taskbar near the clock/date)
Select Open
Click on Settings
Click on add an exclusion
You can then exclude a single file or a folder.

I guess the issue really was just with my antivirus, I'm using windows defender now and everything works normally I can finally check toddlers and vampires and everything Very Happy now I just have to figure out why 64 bit version doesn't work. Is this connected with the renaming of the Game folder? I already moved sims 4 folder from the electronic arts folder directly to the program files

When you don't have 64 bits Windows then the 64 bits The Sims won't work of course.
When you do have it, have you tried to start the game from Program Files\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4_x64.exe ?

I am just posting again so perhaps someone will see this post and can help me with my issue, 32bit version works without any problems but any time I tried running 64bit (even as an administrator) I get the already-posted error message. I moved Sims 4 folder to C:\Program Files (x86) folder and then also to the C:\Program Files folder just in case, and my windows are definitely 64 bit. It's a new laptop, I play Witcher 3 and black flag on it without any issues  Laughing Is it windows defenders fault? Would perhaps reinstalling fix the issue(which I am not really that willing to do at the moment)? Is the issue with the folder in which I moved the files, should I do something else with them? IDk it just annoys me I am forced to play the less smooth version although my computer is capable of so much more

When you have all DLC's (incl. Fitness) installed, you can try following:

1. Download most recent Game folder HERE
2. Move existing folder Game from your install folder to your desktop
3. Extract download with Winrar
4. Place new Game folder in your install folder.

This Game folder works, at least on my computer, with the 64 bits.

Sorry it still doesn't work for me, but thank you anyway Smile I guess I'll have to live with 32 bit, or try reinstalling again sometime in the future
