Can't play City Living

Hi everyone, I have all of the expansions til Get Together and yesterday I downloaded City Living by a torrent that I found here on the forum.
So after it finishes the downloading I read the instructions and paste all the files that I have to, in brief I follow the instructions but the game doesn't "update" and I'm still with version 1.20 and Dine Out, as I didn't do anything.
Can someone explain me what is wrong and how should I deal with this problem? Thanks everyone

When you have copies all the files and folders from the download of City Limits to Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4 and played the game once, it is updated to version 1.25

Hello,

A common mistake (for some reason) is that people copy/paste the update files from the downloads under Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4, which is wrong.

Are you 100% positive you copied nad pasted the files under C:\Program files (x86)\The Sims 4?

I have the same issue... But I do have sims and origin in my computers other drive and not my main C drive...
So then I open origins just to update it but then it gets rid of everything again... which is weird since I do have get together as a cracked version which works perfectly fine.
