Ultra Speed doesn't work after installing City Living?

So I just downloaded City Living a couple days ago and everything has been fine, except it seems that the ultra speed doesn't work. When Sims are asleep or at work I try and speed up time but after it says that it's the correct time, I'll go back to normal speed and almost no time will have passed. Getting kind of frustrating to play the entire game on normal speed. Any help?

You could try deleting the file named localthumbcache.package that is found under Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. It is known to help in some cases, to delete that file from time to time, in order to fix some little game bugs. Other than that, I'm afraid you'll have to consider *not* to speed up the game, for the time being.
