Does this work? I can upload the sims 4 directory or .md5 file, but it doesn't seem to do anything and I don't see any buttons.

Tested on Chrome and Firefox. After selecting Sims 4 folder (MD5 file is optional) it should start checking files. It doesn't upload anything, all is done in your browser.

What did you even use update it? Wat. If you want to use updates from G4TW apply in that order: My First Pet Stuff, Seasons, Update 1.45.62.1020. After that delete "Game_" folder and those files:
game/bin/core/winhttp.dll
game/bin/zupdaterx32.dll
game/bin/zupdaterx64.dll

If you still get some errors, run validator again but this time post it in new thread. I want to keep this one to validator related problems only.

Restoring this thread to the public!

Edit: brief additional comment, there is apparently a Disqus-comments-section below the validator, on the page linked above. Note that the Disqus is NOT maintained by, or associated with G4TW. Anadius himself seems to be commenting there. As for G4TW, we merely link the validator here and try offering support on it (on the Forums here), as part of our regular work on TS4. I myself admittedly am not good with troubleshooting the validator logs, but that will hopefully improve over time!

I tip my fedora.

Glad to see that G4TW willstart giving support to this tool, since it is good for troubleshooting problems with the Sims 4 Installation. Thanks!

So because a few people messaged me about certain things, I feel compelled to clarify a few things and share our side of the situation as well~

- "Missing files" in the validator report mean, that certain files SHOULD be there, but they aren't in your instance

- "Hash mismatch" (only when you uncheck quick scan), means that you have certain files, but their hash doesn't match with your game .exe / patch version.

- "Unknown Files", files that have no reason to be there. They can be deleted, HOWEVER, they virtually never affect gameplay at all.

If you use G4TW's earlier downloads, you might find a few Unknown Files. That's because of the way we pack these Sims 4 downloads: by releasing new files, and prompting users to add the new files on top of their existing "pile". In the process, there can be abandoned files, over time. EA did change quite a few things over the years.

Contrary to speculations, these abandoned/unknown files don't actually affect the functionality of your TS4 installation. There is a scenario in which it does matter, and that's about the old python-scripts. But as far as the TS4 Must-Read is concerned, we prompt users to delete their "Game"-subfolders anyways, before applying a new patch. So the potential conflict with these old python scripts doesn't surface.

Final remark about other repackers: pretty much all of them simply re-release All-In-One versions of TS4 whenever a new crack came out; and these versions are pre-modified by repackers close to the 'scene'. So they typically don't have any abandoned files in them. G4TW does not (and never did) maintain an official All-In-One for TS4, nor do we have any connection to the 'scene'. Maybe the old Admin did back then, I don't know, but I doubt that too.

Certain people running their mouths out there fail to realize that they are essentially arguing over an almost 6-year-old and highly-overrated life simulation PC game, so what does this tell about them, in the end...?

Either way, a 'cleaner' format of TS4 repacks can be found here:
