SecEmu Error? I need help. [SOLVED]
So I downloaded The Sims 4, followed the guide to a T, had my rld.dll error, fixed that with the help of numerous guides and videos, and now I'm being thwarted by a box that pops up whenever I click both the shortcut AND the .exe that says SecEmu in the title and says "Failed to initialize the emulator!" in the description.
I didn't have Origin when I started getting the error, downloading Origin didn't help, the game is allowed through my firewall and I don't have my antivirus activated right now, either. I've also installed and fixed Microsoft's C++ numerous times. I've spent hours pulling my hair out over this because I can't seem to find anywhere that anyone has had the same error for this game.

Most probably there are still remnants of the old Origin installation in your computer register
Here you see 4 installations of the Sims 4 (Legal and pirated).
In your case, remove all instances of the Sims 4 with Revo Uninstaller.
Then install the DLC's again. Don't forget to move the installation folder out of Electronic Arts.
When you have 64-bits windows you don't have to worry about AV as long as you play the TS4_x64.exe
Also check for the 2 Microsoft Visual C++ redist entries. They are required for the Sims games.

Welcome to the Forum first of all @perediso,
What do you mean by ".exe that says SecEmu in the title"? In RELOADED-based The Sims 4 games, there is no such .exe (at least not to my knowlege). And even if there is, you actually are supposed to start the game with either the TS4.exe or the TS4_x64.exe, located in the Game\Bin subdirectory of your TS4 install folder.
Also, what if you completely close Origin? Indeed, you don't need Origin at all to run RELOADED-based The Sims 4 games.

Re: SecEmu Error? I need help. [SOLVED]
I didn't get screenshots of the box that was popping up, but I ended up just completely deleting all traces of Origin and Sims 4, then extracting the .rar files for Sims 4 again and ignoring Origin's existence completely. That did the trick for me. Im not sure what on Earth I was doing wrong the first dozen times I tried doing this, but hey, as long as the gods of computer aren't angry at me anymore, I won't complain.
Thank you for the help, I truly appreciate it!
Edit: Apologies for the confusing language in my first post, also. I wrote that at 4 in the morning after messing around with the game for hours trying to get it to work.
