Pets Glitch?
Theres a glitch, or technical problem, when trying to create or even have a pet. The pets are messed up. Like the mouth and nose are stretched up, sticking straight out, the body is glitchy and this happns with all the pets. Anybody know how to fix this?

Re: Pets Glitch?
Its a problem within the ea game. The same thing happened to my computer, I called ea games and they said their phones had been blown up the day the game was released. They said it is only like that for some people and that they are creating a patch to fix this. The deadline was two weeks after the game was released, so you shouldn't have to wait to long for this to be fixed.
Hope this helps

"Few notes on this... Yes, those types of issues are indicative of a problem with the graphics card (or integrated chip). For those people attempting to play on unsupported graphics cards who see permanently deformed pets, this will not see improvement with any future game update - Sims 3 requires a certain level of hardware to display properly.
We are investigating graphical issues that specifically impact players that use an officially supported graphics card, but I don't have any specifics I can share regarding that at this time.
The issue with pets momentarily warping/deforming and immediately correcting themselves afterward is separate, unrelated to pets that consistently look wrong."
Out of the horses mouth himself, er, bad joke.

Re: Pets Glitch?
Aw that's too bad for the people who have unsupported graphics cards.
If it were me, I'd upgrade to a supported card. It doesn't have to be expensive at all since my 5 year old graphicscard displays the pets just fine. But that wont help the people on laptop

Re: Pets Glitch?
It's getting very annoying, even people with built gaming desktops or laptops that can play any game out today at max setting are having problems with pets, and all EA is saying "buy a new card", someone on the forums has the same problem and has a GTX 590 ( which at the moment is the one of the best cards on the market and the newest from the Geforce range) and got told they need a better one, errrr there's nothing better to get ! lol

LOL
I'm using an Nvidia 7600 myself, and I only experience an occasional glitch which is easily fixed by resetting sim.
So maybe people should get an old card in stead .

C'mon, like we didn't know that EA has awesome (!) support and service to their paying users.BlackDiamond76 wrote:(...) someone on the forums has the same problem and has a GTX 590 ( which at the moment is the one of the best cards on the market and the newest from the Geforce range) and got told they need a better one, errrr there's nothing better to get ! lol

Re: Pets Glitch?
I'm using an integrated card, 7050 or something, iv been told by many people it's unsupported and should buy a new one if i dont want my game to glitch and it works fine, almost everyone who told me to update my card has the deformed pets glitch. muahahahaha.
I dont know what EA support is like, never had to use it, but by what i have read, its a load of bull.

Re: Pets Glitch?
It is, even their own forum doesn't have an official EA representative (as far as I know). Its just, people helping out each other.
