Sims 3 Crashes after Fix? Empty Sims 3 Crashes after Fix?

I installed Sims 3 Base Game using the disk I bought. Success.
I installed Sims 3 Generations that you (thankfully) provided and applied the fix. It seems to be a success, but after I click the town I want to use, Sims 3 suddenly closes. There are no "Warning messages" or "errors" that come up either. It just shuts down, everytime I open Sims. Did I do something wrong? Help please!

I don't get it because I downloaded Generations on my computer several months ago and it worked...
