Sims 3 Crash: "Warning: Updates Available"
I recently installed my game using G4W's complete Sims 3 on my new PC (Geforce 1070, 32GB RAM--I can provide my Device.Config if you need it) and have experienced myriad crashes. I am fine so long as I am in CAS or build mode. The problems come once I begin play.
Crash Analyzer says the likely culprit is: "Warning: Updates Available: The Sims 3 World Adventures (2.0.86.002002 -> 2.17.2.011032), The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff." I remember seeing a warning about that EP (and possibly Generations also) not being updated when I installed it. (ErrorTrap has not thrown any script files up for these crashes.)
(My procedure at the time: 1) Install base game, 2) install patch provided in the zip file, 3) install remainder of EPs and SPs and then replace the game Bin TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll files with the one provided in the crack folder.)
I have already:
*Updated my GraphicsCards.sgr and GraphicsRules.sgr. The game detects my card.
*I have applied the 4GB patch to all executables.
*Set up Data Execution Prevention
*Increased my page file size
*Tried running without any cc, then slowly added cc back (ran Delphy on everything first and had no conflicts). The cc doesn't appear to be the problem. (Error trap hasn't caught anything.)
*Tried clean install of User files.
*Lowered graphics settings (I had 2GB ram left on my last crash).
I'm at the point where I think I should delete the game and reinstall. I'm not sure if the torrent had a glitch and I should load the individual torrents instead. If it's the former, I thought you might like to know. (Naturally, I'm open to any suggestions, especially if I misread the instructions and messed up my install!) I've played Sims 3 for years and am used to the occasional "usual suspect" crashes and how to correct them, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out what to do about this one. Then again, I've been away for a few years, so maybe I forgot a step. Also, I followed install--and patch--instructions from the readme in the DL-ed complete edition and not the ones on the sticky here.

Re: Sims 3 Crash: "Warning: Updates Available"
Hello,
Welcome to the forum.
You can use the patch that was included in the RAR again, and if that doesn't do it, you can also update WA individually. You can find links to the expansion patches halfway down this page.
Of course you don't have to use all of those, the 2.17.xx should do. You need the "worldwide" patc, or the "digital download" patch. I'm not sure which one exactly.
